Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships
The club will be travelling to nearby Drumpellier Park in Coatbridge for the Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships on Saturday 19 November. This will be the last cross country race we will be attending as a club in 2011. We will be departing from Muirfield Centre at 1030 hours with the first race at 1200 hrs. The following is the Club’s teamsheet for next Sunday’s first Scottish Amateur Indoor League Match at the Kelvin Hall.
Anyone who is unable to attend, can you please let either Donald or Gary know.

The coach will be leaving from the bus stop at Cumbernauld Town Centre (south) at 0830hrs and will return after the last event around 1400hrs.
The first event is at 1000hrs. If for any reason you are unable to attend please let us know, as this will save us sitting waiting for you. If you are making your own way there, then please let us know in advance as we will otherwise assume you are not coming. Also, we have many athletes competing on Sunday and it is a hectic day with a lot going on.
If you are making your own way, then please do not turn up at the last minute as the coaches do not have the time on the day to deliver 30 different team briefings. This is a team event and we expect athletes to be there not only for their own events but to support and encourage their team mates.

Lasswade Cross Country Races
Sunday 6 November 2011-We will be departing from the Muirfield Centre at 0945 hrs and not 1000 hrs as previously indicated.It is also projected that we will probably return home in Cumbernauld around 1700hrs. Please ensure you provide details of a contact telephone number in order that we can contact you on the day to give you an accurate return time. For those of you who have ran cross country before you know what to expect. For those of you about to run your first race please bring the following, in addition to your race kit
- waterproof jacket and trousers, if you have them
- hat
- gloves
- warm layers
- spare change of everything inc footwear…wellies are ideal
- packed lunch
- smile.
Young athletes should bring £3 entry fee plus £1 for the mini bus. There is are also facilities at the course where hot chocolate etc can normally be purchased.
There may be an issue with the mini bus which we are looking to address at present. We have a back up plan for cars which is in place so please if you are interested in running but have yet to let us know then do so asap and dont just turn up on the day. With prior notice we can address any transport issues. (see link below for details)
