As mentioned over the past month on Club Nights, next Sunday – 24th March – Cumbernauld AAC will be hosting the NL Club Championship & Team North Lanarkshire Team Trials at Greenfaulds High School 🙂
As this will be our first time hosting this event, it would be great to see as many of our Club Athletes attend as possible.
A Bit About the Event Itself
This event is open to all Club Athletes from U11 – U20 from Cumbernauld AAC, Airdire Harriers and Motherwell AC and gives them all an excellent opportunity in a fun relaxed atmosphere to have their their first outdoor Track and Field event of the year 🙂
Each Club Athlete will be allowed to compete in up to 3 events within their age categories, with medals for top 3 Athletes and the Team NL Shield for the best performing Club on the day:

Please note to help with the admin of the event, this event will be pre-entry event an no entries will be allowed on the day.
Call for Volunteers 🙂
In the past the event has been managed by a mixture of Scottish Athletics Officials, Club Coaches and Parents between the 3 Clubs – if anyone would like to help out on the day this would be greatly appreciated and all will be rewarded with Lunch, Tea and Coffee 🙂
If you can help, please advise at the time of handing in your Athletes Event form.
North Lanarkshire Team Selection
As discussed with all the Athletes at the Club, this event will also be used to select the U13, U15 and U17 North Lanarkshire Team to compete in this year’s Youth Development League, (YDL), Division 1 and U17 Challenge Cup.
Those who are 1st and 2nd in their events will be put forward for selection for the first YDL Meet at the end of April.
