Last weekend saw many of our athletes taking part in the final matches of the Forth Valley League and the CSSAL League and there were lots of great performances!
At the Forth Valley League match, there were 6 medals for our athletes which was a great achievement! Calum won Silver in the 800m and Bronze in the javelin, Grace won Bronze in the 200m, Aimie won Gold in the Long Jump and Bronze in the Shot Put and Ethan won Bronze in the High Jump. Well done to them all and to all the other athletes who took part in the torrential rain!
On the following day it was back to Grangemouth for the crucial last match of the CSSAL match where we were seeking promotion to the first division. Everyone from age 9 to 40-something pulled together to take part in lots of events, many doing events they wouldn’t normally do! In the end, all these efforts earned us enough points to be promoted to the first division! Well done to everyone who took part, and a big thank you to all the parents and coaches who helped by competing, officiating or compiling results. It was a great team effort with a perfect result!
